Gallup Park Engagement | Lauren & Bill

When I first met Lauren and Bill in September, they were looking forward to a nice fall engagement session. They choose Gallup Park in Ann Arbor and we hoped for some sweater weather. Would you believe that it was actually 80+ degrees during this session in mid-October? That’s just Michigan for you…we never know what we’re going to get weather-wise!

Either way, Bill and Lauren rocked their session and were complete naturals in front of the camera. I had a ton of fun walking around Gallup Park and finding all of the best spots for light with them. These two met at a wedding! And now they’re getting married in May at the Detroit Foundation Hotel in a small, intimate ceremony. And I’ll be there to capture it.

When we were talking about what they wanted out of their photography, Lauren told me that she just really wanted a photo where they weren’t just cheesing into the camera, selfie-style. Well, that I can deliver and deliver well. I’m so glad I get to capture their wedding in about six months!

P.S. Please look at that beautiful golden light we got about halfway through the session. Gallup Park is right on the river and has many bridges. My favorite was NOT the long bridge, but the shorter bridges.
