Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot: it’s about celebrating your love and the gathering of all of your loved ones in one place at one time. My goal is to make the day and everything before and after it an experience rather than a task you have to do. I’m here to make the planning and day as stress-free as possible. From the moment you contact me to the day-of to the album design process, I make it easy for you to sit back, be yourselves, and do what you should be doing: enjoying the moment. I’m the perfection combination of organized and flexible, proactive yet not overbearing, knowledgeable but not bossy, and a comforting presence both with and without a camera in hand.

The important thing to remember is that you don’t have to be anyone but yourself. I’m here to make you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera (apparently I’m pretty okay at it, per my reviews), but you don’t have to look like what you see on Instagram or the styled photos from Pinterest. You just have to be yourself. When you are at ease, the most genuine photos are created, the moments that really matter

My photography approach is relaxed, personable, and easy-going. I’m not there to boss you around or constantly tear you away from your guests. For weddings, I love a good plan, but on the day of, it’s your day and we’re going to let it all unfold as it should. The more I step in and run your day, the less chance there is for authentic moments that tell your story. Showing up and telling your story is my job, no matter what we’re photographing. It’s not my story, it’s yours.

consultation & booking
After inquiring about my availability using my contact form, I’ll confirm I’m free and set up a time to chat about what you’re planning. I’ll walk you through my approach to wedding photography, share advice, and answer your questions, all while you tell me all the details about your wedding. After we speak, either by phone, video, in person, or email, I’ll send over a proposal. To secure your date, I require a signed contract and a $750 retainer. Then I’m officially your wedding photographer!
engagement session
I believe wholeheartedly in engagement sessions not only as wedding prep for us both, but also as a great time for you as a couple to just take a breath during the wedding planning process and to just hang out together. If you’re nervous about being photographed, I recommend an engagement session to build confidence and see exactly how I work. We’ll schedule your session following booking to make sure you get a date on my calendar.
before the wedding
My top priority is to make sure you have an amazing wedding photography experience. A key way of doing this is preparation! While I’m always available for questions and advice during the planning process, I’ll be checking in with you at key points in your planning to discuss timeline development, family formal portraits lists, and all the nitty gritty details of your day so everyone knows what to expect. Getting the details worked out in advance is key to a great wedding day! You’ll fill out a pre-wedding questionnaire to help me prepare and we’ll go over everything around two weeks before the wedding day to make sure I have every detail locked down.
wedding day
It’s here! The day we’ve been planning for! I’ll show up and get straight to shooting according to the plan we’ve created together. On your wedding day, I’m there to capture the moments and to serve you, to be a calming presence in those stressful moments, keep the day moving along as best I can, and to make sure that you stay present all day long. You might even catch me boogeying down when they play my favorite wedding music — hint, it’s line dances!
post-wedding day
After the wedding day is over, I’m getting straight to work. I’ll make sure to back up all your images before even hitting the hay. Then, I’ll start editing your images. Along the way, you’ll catch some sneak peeks, and within 6-8 weeks, you’ll have all of your images, ready to download from your digital gallery. I’m always SO excited to share them with you. Then, you can order professional prints and start picking photos for your album so I can begin working on your custom design.
Madalyn did an amazing job. She was so awesome with our engagement pictures and even better for our wedding!! She knows how to capture the most special moments and make us awkward folks feel a little less awkward.
