Pick your session type below to pick your time and start the booking process. All dates and times are first come, first served! You will have 24 hours to sign your contract and pay your retainer.
Mini session packages are ONE DAY ONLY EVENTS and not available on other calendar dates. Mini session days usually SELL OUT by summer.
For all other available dates, I offer lifestyle sessions with two separate packages to give flexibility. Lifestyle sessions are more customized to your family.
All lifestyle sessions have a $150 retainer. All mini sessions have a $50 retainer. The rest is due by the date of the session.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between a mini session and a lifestyle session?
A mini session is much shorter and meant to be more “quick and dirty,” meaning less variety in images and poses. They are meant to be for quick updates to your family photos, headshots, holiday card photos, etc. You’ll get a limited amount of digitals. Minis are great if you’d like to try me out!
Lifestyle sessions are longer in length, give more variety in images and poses, and more digitals. Lifestyle sessions are meant to tell more of a story about your family instead of just being a quick photo session. I spend more time with my lifestyle clients and usually get to know them a little better.
What is the booking process?
To officially secure the session, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for the booking retainer. The signed contract and a $100 non-refundable retainer are required to secure your date/time. Everything is done online to make it easy peasy for you (and me!).
What happens if WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE DUE TO WEATHER OR HEALTH CRISIS?
If we’re having an outdoor session, we of course are at the mercy of the Michigan weather. No one wants wet kids or messed up hair/makeup. I try to make a weather call the morning of the session for PM sessions and by 9pm the night before for AM sessions. If your session is rained out, we will reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us. All mini sessions have a scheduled rain date that you agree to when you sign the contract.
If for some reason we must reschedule your session due to a government mandate (i.e. coronavirus), then my policy is to allow a reschedule within 12 months, applying your retainer and any monies paid to that date. For now, I am okay photographing your family six feet away in open spaces.
If someone in your family is ill, the same cancellation and rescheduling policy above will apply!
What time of the day are your sessions?
Usually sessions take place in the two hours after sunrise and two hours before sunset. If the session is in-home for a newborn, we try to schedule mid-day (between 11am and 2pm). Mini sessions are at a specific time of day in one specific location.
What do I bring to my session?
A good attitude and your smiling faces! There’s really nothing special you need other than yourselves. Leave the rest to me!
What should we wear?
After you book, I’ll send over my helpful hints and tips, but to sum it up, comfortable clothes you can move in and neutral colors always work well!
What about locations?
I have my favorite locations all around the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. Sometimes clients prefer a certain spot and that’s great! Sometimes they need help. I’m here to help you decide what fits best with what you’re envisioning. Most families opt for a nature setting so we use local parks. Mini sessions are done at a predetermined location.
How do I receive my photos and when?
All of my images are delivered via an online gallery so you can view and download them wherever you are! You’ll also be able to order professional prints, albums, and books through your gallery.
All session are delivered within a three-week timeframe unless otherwise specified by me!
