Christy and Kevin’s fall Stony Creek engagement session happened on truly the perfect day in the park! The leaves were vibrant, the weather perfect, and the good spots weren’t too busy yet because of our timing!
Christy and Kevin brought their sweet pup to start the session. I adore having dogs at sessions and usually like to start with them so they can get their 15 minutes of fame and then go on a walk or go home.
Fall Stony Creek engagement session is really popular – there are so many spots in the park you can use and it gives one of the best fall vibes in the metro area. Christy and Kevin really wanted to take advantage of the colors and vibe for their engagement session. I especially loved how they brought along some champagne for a splash and a toast. You are totally always welcome to do that too – I’ll even coach you through how to open and spray it.

I’ll let you in on a secret – the best time for a fall Stony Creek maternity session is usually the first week of November. This was definitely the case for Ashley and Ryan – they got the most gorgeous time of the fall for their Stony Creek maternity session.
They brought along their pup so we decided to take to some of the less traversed areas of the park, which I always appreciate in the fall. They trusted me and I just adore how this session came out. Ashley is the cutest pregnant person ever geez!
I love the color Ashley chose to wear for this fall Stony Creek maternity session. It’s the perfect color for fall! I usually prefer longer dresses for maternity sessions. I think there’s something lovely about the movement of this one. It’s from Pink Blush Maternity!
There’s no bad season for maternity sessions. I recommend scheduling your session between 32-36 weeks for optimal comfort and look – as well as to avoid pre-term labor!

Last September, I had the most perfect golden hour Stony Creek Metropark engagement session with Kylie and Jared – and their pup Brody!
I always encourage couples to bring their pups (if they wish) because they’re family. I know that when we got engagement – and wedding – photos, I really regretted not including our dog Nora. I know it can be super stressful to bring a fury friend, but I promise I’ll send you some great tips to make it a successful session. There hasn’t been a dog I haven’t gotten to cooperate for a few images.
Stony Creek Metropark is popular – for a reason! And I think once you scroll through these engagement photos, you’ll see why: literally the most perfect golden hour.
A lot of couples want a fall engagement session, but I’ll let you in on a little secret – late September is not fall but it’s usually the most gorgeous time to shoot. The weather hasn’t turn cold and rainy, all the greens are still kicking, and the sunsets are usually AH-MAZING. Don’t overlook September as a wonderful time for a session, y’all, especially for a perfect golden hour Stony Creek Metropark engagement.
Kylie and Jared met through mutual friends at a “Beer Olympics.” Sounds fun right? Jared offered Kylie some water and the rest is history. These foodies enjoy walking Brody, traveling, and spending time on the water. Their August 2022 wedding is going to be so much fun – I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

I had the best time with Jalen and Maria at their golden hour Stony Creek engagement session. These two were truly so much fun – I laughed a lot which always makes my job so fun!
These two met working at Emagine Theaters and their first date was to a cider mill. They fell in love with Stony Creek engagement session photos online and actually found me that way! They felt it was the perfect place to document this chapter because they love nature walks – and movies, which makes sense based on where they met. We talked a lot about Hamilton during their session!
Golden hour Stony Creek engagement sessions are really popular, and for good reason. It’s really quite gorgeous in any season, including summer! The tall pine trees look perfect at just about any time of day and the open field is perfect for golden hour. It can get pretty busy with photographers on the weekend so I actually prefer to come during the week so as not to make my clients nervous with so many people around. You don’t believe how popular this spot is until you see all of the people with cameras around! See more Stony Creek engagement sessions here.
I’m so excited for Jalen and Maria’s wedding! I know it’s going to be such a fun event to be a part of.

Lauren and Seth love the outdoors so a sunset Stony Creek engagement session was perfect for them! The first time we scheduled their engagement session, the weather forecast was cloudy, but still fine for photos. However, after shooting for about thirty minutes, it started to RAIN! Out of nowhere, with 20 percent chance on the forecast! So we decided to postpone the session and try again in a week or so. Good thing because we got the most incredible sunset for their session!
A sunset Stony Creek engagement session is perfect for summer engagements. Here’s another summer Stony Creek engagement session in case you’re curious. The large fields and pine covered trail at Stony Creek is a beautiful backdrop in any season, but in summer, it just feels so lush and green. It’s a popular spot for photos for a reason.
Lauren and Seth are two of the most welcoming people I’ve met while in business. They asked me so many good questions about my work and myself, and I got to know their story too. After bonding over our shared love of food and beverages, we shared some food recommendations (they are newer to the area but still shared options I hadn’t heard of). They wanted to have some celebratory fun so we popped some champagne at their session. Highly recommend because those photos are always so fun to have and edit!
Our session ended at Yates Cider Mill for ice cream, as requested by these two. Ice cream is always a good way to end a summer session, especially a sunset Stony Creek engagement session.
